My activities for a social media management strategy
My project for ESN Oulu was about creating a social media management strategy. ESN Oulu is part of ESN (Erasmus Student Network), one of the largest student organizations in Europe committed to supporting international students. ESN’s mission is to make the study abroad experience as rewarding and hassle-free as possible by offering support, socialization opportunities and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
As Social Media Manager for ESN Oulu, I have helped realize the organization’s mission, working to provide international students with the information, support and resources they need to adapt and thrive in their new academic and cultural environment.
My duties included managing ESN Oulu’s social media channels. In particular, I was responsible for creating and sharing relevant and useful content for international students. I worked to promote the events, activities and resources available to students, ensuring that they were informed about all the opportunities offered to them by the organization.
Additionally, I used social media as a platform to promote the city’s culture and create a sense of community. The aim was to provide students with a virtual place where they can share experiences, make new friends and feel an integral part of student life in Oulu.
In collaboration with the ESN Oulu team, I also developed targeted communication strategies to address students’ needs, such as finding accommodation, orientation in the city or psychological support.
